What to expect

Spark is an experiential course of doing and experimenting. Workshops are comprised of various talks and fun creative projects tailored to help you let go of old inhibitions and tap into the power and freedom of your imagination. No previous artistic experience necessary!! You will receive sensitive guidance every step of the way!

Why Freeport Maine?

The unsurpassed beauty of fall in New England is the simple answer. Our Spark home is located a few yards from the beautiful rugged coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Freeport is famous for its plentiful retail outlets, including the flagship of the classic New England brand, L.L. Bean. Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park is just a five-minute drive from downtown, plus there are hiking and walking trails everywhere! In other words, Freeport, Maine is an inviting coastal town on Casco Bay that offers the all the colors and flavors to make a creativity workshop sizzle.

Your Creativity Coach for the Weekend

Nancy Beaudette is a Certified Creativity Coach and award-winning graphic artist. She is also a multi-award winning singer-songwriter and has been navigating the music industry as an independent touring artist and producer for over thirty years. Prior to her full-time music and coaching career, Nancy co-owned and operated an internationally recognized sign and design company in Eastern Ontario. Her goal is to help you integrate a creative practice into your life in a natural, yet exciting way. Today she actively tours and teaches throughout North America. Along with being a music educator and Coach, Nancy is a world traveler and peace advocate. Watch for the release of Nancy’s new book, “SongCRAFT” due for release in 2018.

Your Creative Team

Cecilia has always been a firm believer that nurturing creativity is the key to maintaining balance and achieving results in her professional life. Named one of Boston’s top 40 executives under 40 in 2005, Cecilia has been recognized as a leading performer from a young age. A successful serial entrepreneur, she loves to use her creative talents to build and grow new businesses. She has several US Patents, has served on a number of non-profit boards and has been a featured speaker at a number of industry events and conferences. She is an expert in travel management, corporate event planning, operations and business development strategy. In her spare time, Cecilia is an avid sailor, enjoys playing music with friends and has earned a master certificate in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music.

Christine has worked both front and center, and behind the scenes throughout her twenty-five year career as a marketing event manager. The show-biz bug bit her at the tender age of nine when the Circus came to town. When they asked for volunteers Chris was first in line to help set up the Big Top! Years later she took center stage in the highly acclaimed “Hollywood Spectacular Stunt Show”, a national wild-west comedy-action show, where Chris performed alongside Hollywood stunt men! Later she cooked for Stars like Tony Bennett, Tricia Yearwood and Pat Benatar at an acclaimed music venue near Boston. She is also an award winning songwriter and performs throughout New England with Celtic band, The Kelly Girls. She is currently working on her cookbook, “Cooking For The Band”.

Feel free to bring your personal journal or sketchbook and your favorite writing implements.

Accommodations: Deluxe oceanview home in Freeport Maine. Arrive Friday at 6 pm, stay two nights, leave Sunday at 1 pm (with the option of staying Sunday night for an additional cost)

Space is limited. Rooms will be assigned in order of priority based on reservation date (book early to get best room assignment preference)

How to get there

Only 5 minutes from the Freeport train station (trains come from Boston) and 20 minutes from Portland Jetport.
We will share the street address after registration.
