Linoleum Carving and Printing

Linoleum printing is a form of relief printing, one of the easiest and most direct of all the printmaking methods. Linocuts can be simplistic and graphic, or as intricately detailed as you want. Also known as “block printing” this is one of the oldest art techniques in the world and is also one of the most versatile. In this workshop, we will learn to transfer patterns, carve the linoleum, apply ink and print it on paper. Fabulous for making cards and wall art, and can even be used for printing on fabric!
All materials and tools supplie except X-acto knives – please bring your own knife & extra blades. (Also wear your art shirt or apron)
